Pro and Roots Guitars offer an American built Breedlove for the player who's funds won't stretch to the Custom Shop models. To achieve this, Breedloves Korean wood shop cut and shape the necks from a single piece of mahogany and like wise shape the body woods, all are then shipped "flat pack" to the Breedlove studios in Oregon, USA.

On arrival the body is built braces fitted, inlays added, bridges made and fitted, finish applied, fretted, then the machine heads and electrics are installed; all by same skilled Breedlove luthiers and to the same high standards as the Custom Shop models. A USA built Breedlove guitars for less.

Pro series guitars are built with the Bridge truss system which creates a "Relaxed Top". In other words it relives the massive strain exerted on the bridge by the string tension by transferring the stress to the bottom of the guitar. The instrument can then be build with less bracing which in turn evens out the volume of the individual strings. The result is uniquely Breedlove, a guitar where each string rings at the same volume so that unlike all other guitars a Breedlove can be recorded in the studio without the need to use a compressor. Breedlove are the only acoustic guitars we know of that can successfully trigger Roland guitar synthesizers. With this system the individual personality of each string shines through and can be clearly heard with separation from the other strings, perfect for finger-style articulation or anyone who wants definition in their playing..

The Roots guitars are constructed using pre war scalloped forward cross bracings which deliver a powerful yet clear, articulated sound, allowing each string to produce its individual character.
