The Dual Source System is a miniature onboard microphone/pickup mixing system that features all-discrete class A circuitry. It seamlessly combines our high-tech Ribbon Transducer™ with a high quality FET condenser capsule for an affordable, simple-to-use, one- cord mix. By using clever and efficient design, we've added these features without raising the price or compromising the quality.

The Pickup

The Element Pick-up is a miniature internally mounted microphone/pickup mixing system that seamlessly combines our patented Element transducer with a high quality FET condenser microphone. The ultra-quiet preamp mounts non-destructively inside of the instrument and features all discrete audiophile circuitry for our signature quality sound and a great one-cord mix right out of box. The preamp controls have ample flexibility to fine tune the response to your individual guitar. The Microphone: The Dual Source mike is a high quality Omni-directional FET condenser capsule encased in a small block of acoustically transparent foam. It mounts easily on the back of the inside of the guitar with Velcro. It is designed to use the entire back surface as a "pressure zone." This minimizes the effect of standing waves and hot spots inside of the guitar. Consequently, the sound is closer to that of an outside microphone than with other internal mike placements. This location also gives increased protection against feedback.

The Element Active VTC System

Think you know what under saddle transducers are all about? Think again. The Element delivers performance previously unattainable from an under saddle pickup. The streamlined and efficient design removes every unnecessary internal component to improve the coupling between the transducer and the guitar. This substantially improves the sensitivity of the transducer for a robust, lively and open sound with great dynamics and a delicate high end.

The Element Active System -Volume and Tone Control (VTC) pairs the Element under saddle transducer with a pre-contoured all-discrete class A endpin preamp and includes a small, removable sound hole-mounted volume and tone control for added convenience and versatility. The entire system is designed to install easily and features plug-and-play performance. Also included is our Battery Bagg for secure battery storage.

The M1 Exposed

The M1 is a hum bucking pickup -- with a twist. In a common stacked humbucker, the second, lower coil cancels hum, but doesn't contribute anything positive to the sound. In fact, it can muddy the sound of the main coil. We unlock the second coil. This allows it to make a positive sonic contribution while maintaining the pure open sound of a single coil -- but without the hum.

The M1 Active is powered by a 3v lithium battery and will give you over 1,000 hours of playing time.

M1 Active

The M1 Active takes the M1 pickup to a new level of performance and convenience. The built-in all class A electronics eliminate the need for any external preamps and makes the M1 Active compatible with any outboard equipment. And the new volume control gives you fingertip access in any performing situation.

Triaxial Dynamic Technology Explained.

In the M1, the hum-cancelling coil is suspended under the main coil by a tuned support that allows it to move in three dimensions. The primary coil moves with the guitar top and creates a body signal in the suspended secondary coil. This brings the M1 to life, with string and body sound all in one. It's like having a dual pickup system in your sound hole. And it's all passive! We've carefully tuned the support to control motion in all three dimensions. This allows us to selectively add the presence and realism from the body signal while suppressing runaway feedback.
